I've had several gallbladder attacks in the past. However, two weeks ago, the pain became unbearable and resulted in a trip to the emergency room.
Hundreds of dollars and a morphine drip later, we learned I have gallstones, which are stones not too unlike kidney stones with form in the gallbladder. They can block bile ducts, become infected and basically make your life hell on earth.
At least kidney stones can pass through your system.
Last night, I wound up in the ER a second time.
This means I have to make an appointment with a surgeon to get the little bastard removed. Which sounds simple enough, right?
Right.
But no-- it's not. I have to cover both ER trips, along with $300 for an appointment with the surgeon just to get the surgery scheduled. Then I need to be able to fund half of the cost of surgery upfront just to get it performed, and after all that I can put the balance on a payment plan.
I need your help, here. Read my blog. Yes, there are ads-- That's for a reason, I need every penny I can get because I don't know about you, but in addition to my surgery I also need power, running water, gas for my car so I can continue to work my three jobs, and food is slightly important, also.
Donate to my Paypal account (Link is soon to come) and I'll keep you posted on the status of my surgery, my battle with the current health care system, and other tidbits. I promise, I'll be entertaining.
